England centre Riki Flutey has been ruled out of England's Six Nations international match against Wales due to injury and has been replaced by Toby Flood.
Flutey sustained a knock to his right thigh in the course of training yesterday and was ruled out for this weekend's match.
Following assessment of the injury by the England medical staff this morning, it was decided that he would not recover sufficiently to take part in the Six Nations international against Wales at Twickenham Stadium tomorrow.
He is replaced in the starting line-up by Toby Flood (Leicester Tigers) with Shontayne Hape (Bath Rugby) added to the replacements.
Flood, who missed this season's November Series through injury, will be winning his 27th cap.
Flood will not be too unfamiliar with Matt Tait who he will play alongside in the team as both players played in the backline for Newcastle Falcons when Jonny Wilkinson was at the club.
The three former Falcons should be very familiar with each other lessening the blow for England.
