Former New Zealand rugby league international Shontayne Hape was a late withdrawal from the England team to play Wales in their Six Nations opener at Twickenham on Saturday.

Hape, a replacement back who has yet to make his England debut, pulled out with what an England spokesman said was "a bug".

His place on the bench was taken by fellow centre Danny Hipkiss.

England saw New Zealand born starting centre Riki Flutey pull out on Friday through injury and he was replaced by Toby Flood.

Revised England team (15-1)

England Delon Armitage; Mark Cueto, Mathew Tait, Toby Flood, Ugo Monye; Jonny Wilkinson, Danny Care; Nick Easter, Lewis Moody, James Haskell; Steve Borthwick (capt), Simon Shaw; David Wilson, Dylan Hartley, Tim Payne

Replacements: Steve Thompson, Dan Cole, Louis Deacon, Steffon Armitage, Paul Hodgson, Danny Hipkiss, Ben Foden
